Agriculture/Livelihood and Skill Development
- Agriculture is the mainstay of more than 80% population of district Rajanpur. AWS interventions were always agriculture focused. The activities include, providing of diesel oil and excavator in different poverty stricken area of Rajanpur. Excavators did wonder in such cases, when there were people who due to non-availability of the modern technology could not able to convert their fertile land into a leveled land. Such excavators were accessed on subsidized rates from the District Govt. Department.
- In hill torrent areas, flood protection Bunds were constructed using local available resources and wisdom. Rain water is stored in such bunds and later on cultivation is done. Such bunds help in increasing the income of the community and prevent loss of water by storing rain water.
- A skill training Programme has been initiated with the cooperation of Santa Zar and Social Welfare Department of the district. More than 100 women have been trained in different skills like tailoring, machine embroidery and Tie and Dye.
